By the way, what did you think of Season 3? To be honest I was a bit disappointed, but everyone else seems happy with it, and now I'm starting to wonder if I'm being too much of a cynic or something.
I actually paired up their G1 counterparts in my collection they just seemed to fit. I also have Wigwam and Cherries Jubilee paired up.
I admit, I kind of lost track of season 3, so I haven't seen the last half of the season. But with all the drama that seemed to be floating around like the whole 'alicorn twilight' I think it was best I waited until stuff died down.
Alicorn Twilight was - meh. It wasn't as horrible as people might have you believe, it just felt rushed and didn't make much sense. Actually, that was on of my big problems all Season from the beginning; a lot of the stated "lessons" didn't seem to fit or make sense with the episodes they were featured in.
Yeah, I mean it threw me off when Shining came in as it was like 'wait, why didn't you reference her brother at all?'
True. Also I think it was more Season 2 but they really decided to mess around with Dash like she kept being portrayed badly.
Yeah, that was weird...and I think you're exactly right about the bad portrayals of Dash. Rarity got it really bad in Season 2 as well. But by the end of Season 3 it's not just her anymore, they've gotten the entire main cast with it. -_- They took the most negative aspects of each character and ramped them up; only AJ and TS kind of escaped the treatment...
Yeah it was just really weird, no idea what was going on there.
